Products Description
Grinding Steel balls for mining ball mills can be divided into two categories, cast steel balls and forged steel balls. They are all called grinding steel balls. What they have in common is that they are all balls for mining ore dressing ball mills. The size and model are generally expressed by diameter, which can include sizes from 20mm to 150mm. They are basically 5-ary. There are also special balls with a diameter of 17mm; secondly, the crushing rate, Hardness, impact value and out-of-roundness are measures of both.

Classification
Cast steel balls: According to the different chromium content, cast steel balls are divided into low chromium cast balls (chromium content 1-2.5%), medium chromium cast balls (chromium content 3-9%), grinding high chrome ball (chromium content above 10%).
Quality indicators of grinding high chrome balls: chromium content ≥10.0% and carbon content between 1.80%-3.20% are called grinding high chrome ball. National standards require that the hardness (HRC) of high chromium balls must be ≥58 or above, and the impact value ak≥ 3.0J/ ㎝2. If the hardness reaches this level, grinding high chrome ball must be quenched and tempered at high temperature (currently, there are two quenching methods for high-chromium balls in China: oil quenching and air quenching). If the hardness (HRC) is lower than 54, it means that the ball is a grinding high chrome ball has not been quenched.
Quality indicators of medium chromium balls: chromium content between 3.0% and 9.0%, carbon content between 1.80% and 3.20% are called medium chromium balls, impact value ak≥2.0J/㎝2. National standards require medium chromium ball hardness (HRC) must be ≥47 or above. In order to ensure the quality of steel balls, chromium balls need to be treated with high temperature tempering (in order to eliminate casting stress). If the surface of the steel ball is dark red, it means that the product has been tempered at high temperature. If the surface of the steel ball is still metallic, it means that the product has not been tempered at high temperature.
Low chromium ball quality indicators: chromium content between 1% and 2.5%, carbon content between 1.80% and 3.20% are called low chromium balls. National standards require that the hardness (HRC) of low chromium balls must be ≥45 or above, and the impact value ak≥1.5J/㎝2. In order to ensure the quality of steel balls, low-chromium balls also need to be tempered at high temperatures (to eliminate casting stress). If the surface of the steel ball turns dark red, it indicates that the product has been tempered at high temperature. If the surface of the steel ball is still metallic in color, it indicates that the product has not been tempered at high temperatures.
