Cast Grinding Iron Ball For Ball Mill

Cast grinding iron ball, also known as wear-resistant steel ball, is a type of steel ball that has excellent wear resistance properties. The production of chromeball involves several stages, including melting.
Introduction

This Cast Grinding Iron Ball For Ball Mill , also known as wear-resistant steel ball, is a grinding medium for refining materials and reducing particle size, and is often used with ball mills. At the same time, it can also make the surface of the workpiece look smoother and flatter, and even remove the oxide layer and impurities on the workpiece. Its production involves several stages, including melting, settling, removing impurities, pouring into a mold for cooling and solidification. This kind of grinding ball has a variety of shapes, sizes and materials to choose from to meet the same extensive grinding and milling needs.

Features

1. High hardness: This Cast Grinding Iron Ball For Ball Mill is a crushing material with high hardness and toughness, which is composed of metal elements such as carbon, chromium, manganese and molybdenum, and is one of the most important components of crushing industry and bearing industry.

2. Rich specifications: The product has a large number of sizes to choose from, ranging from 17 mm to 130 mm in diameter. Among them, the large-diameter grinding ball can grind the material more quickly, while the small-diameter grinding ball has a large grinding area and will grind the material more quickly than the large-diameter grinding ball.

3. Different chromium content: Its chromium content is 1%-26%, which has different grades of hardness and is suitable for grinding different materials. Moreover, its hardness can reach 59-65 degrees, and it has higher use value than ordinary high chromium balls, steel balls and other steel balls.

4. Strict appearance inspection: It is 100% manually screened to avoid crushing, cracking, shallow surface cracks, internal material defects and other problems, and has uniform specifications and shapes to ensure stable grinding effect.

The Melting process

The melting process is a crucial step in the production of cast grinding iron ball. The raw materials used in the production of the balls are scrap steel, chrome alloys, and ferrous alloys. These raw materials are first sorted and cleaned before being melted in a high-temperature furnace. The furnace used for melting is a typical rotary furnace, which is specially designed for this purpose. The temperature inside the furnace typically ranges from 1400 to 1600 degrees Celsius.

During the melting process, the raw materials are charged into the furnace, and the furnace is heated until the metal is melted. Once the metal has melted, it is allowed to settle, and any impurities or slag floating on the surface are removed. The metal is then stirred to ensure uniformity before it is poured into a mold.

After the metal has been poured into the mold, it is left to cool and solidify. The time it takes for the metal to cool and solidify depends on various factors, including the size and shape of the mold, as well as the temperature and composition of the metal. Once the metal has solidified, the mold is removed, and the cast grinding iron ball is cleaned and polished.
